Monitor not supporting typical resolutions.

At the moment I tin can just see the last 2 letters of some menu options and there is a black space where the screen has been pushed to the left. My typical screen resolution is 1360x768 at an aspect ratio of 16:9.   I take it your playing on a widescreen with that aspect ratio mate? I imagine 4:three wont look particularly skilful on widescreen, dont know about the mouse movement though.. that sounds a little odd. Merely anyway try lowering your res, 1680x1050 is pretty intensive for a Laptop GPU, you lot dont actually need to fiddle with aspect ratio. EDIT: I imagine if you switch to iv:3 yous will take to manually adapt the screen positioning on the LCD, I wouldnt know how to do it on a vaio though, skillful luck

The problem is 1680x1050 is the lowest resolution supported past Steam games in 16:x ratio... Any other suggestions? Edit post-obit your edit: I don't take a Vaio, I've got a Toshiba Satellite M60 and that's the problem, every bit the Vaio has the function I'k trying to get with my laptop congenital in by default... So I'yard looking for a way to get a similar effect on mine. I'll try and dabble around with screen positioning and see how information technology turns out... The aforementioned should work for you too, Shifty, because if some parts of the screen are cut off just effort another resolution and try changing the positioning a bit.

  Well, heres a daft stab in the dark (Only what the hell eh?), but modify your attribute ratio first, and and so your res, that manner aspects are resized first and and then translated into a different res EDIT: and then perhaps accept a fiddle with the screen positioning

• I institute a way to get around my trouble, maybe it will work for y'all likewise (or at least in a similar way). I inverse my desktop resolution to 1280x1024 and unticked "Scale Paradigm" in my advanced ATI control console. In case you don't accept a ATI menu, I'yard sure y'all'll find a similar option on your PC. Skillful luck.

• I just ran a valve hardware test and information technology showed me that css ran in a wierd resolution of 848xsomething. I then realised I entered a bad lawmaking in (the affair that Diggz told me to enter). Once I fixed that, I was able to go onto my proper resolutions! Problem Solved
